It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Janet "Jae" Dimiduk (Battson), who departed this world on October 3, 2024, in Centerville, Ohio, at the age of 65. Born on February 23, 1959, in Sidney, Ohio, Jae brought light into the lives of many, shining as a radiant beacon of kindness, humor, and intelligence throughout her lifetime.
For over 25 years, Jae devoted her professional energies to Dayton Door Sales, where her commitment and dedication were evident to all who had the privilege to work alongside her. Her colleagues knew her as a valued team member who embodied the spirit of hard work and integrity.
Jae graduated in 1977 from Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney before attending Sinclair Community College, where her ambition to better herself was matched only by her passion for history and genealogy. A devoted member of the Miami Valley Genealogical Society, where she once served as treasurer, she found joy in unearthing familial connections and exploring the stories of the past.
Not only did Jae have a profound interest in genealogy, but she also cherished her time spent as an ardent fan of the Cincinnati Reds, delighting in the camaraderie that comes with being part of the passionate fanbase. Music filled her life with joy; she loved singing and going to concerts.
In every room, Jae was a ray of sunshine, her infectious laughter and warm smile lingering long after she left. Her family meant the world to her, and she took pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and recent grandmother. Jae is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Dan Dimiduk; her cherished children, Marissa Dimiduk (Andrew Davis), Martina Dimiduk-Kreger (Jacob), and Morgan Dimiduk (Hailey Calhoun); her beloved grandson, Colton; siblings, Jean Flory (Dom), Harry Battson (Lisa), Joyce Dobson, and Judi Bloxson (Olenger), along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, carry the fond memories of her love and laughter.
Jae joins those who departed before her, including her parents, Harold and Hilda Battson; her brothers, Jerry Battson and Jonathon Battson; her grandson, Lysander Dimiduk-Kreger; and her nieces, Nicole and Sarah Dobson. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her remarkable life, forever grateful for the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
