Janet Cox

Cox, Janet M.(Wagner), age 69, of Dayton, was welcomed into Heaven with one glorious Homecoming on Monday, February 12, 2007 from the home of her youngest daughter, Suzanne Lyons. She is preceded in death by her parents William & Esther Wagner. Janet was a member of Calvary Open Bible Church and was active in several of the ladies' groups. She was also a tireless humanitarian at donating food and her time at several shelters and feeding the homeless. She is survived by her husband Kenneth R. Cox (the love of her life) of 31 years, daughters, Gail (John) Hoagland of Dayton, Pamela (Roger) Smith-Gray of Franklin, Suzanne (Christopher) Lyons of Dayton; step-son, Kenneth R. Cox, Jr. of Middletown; step-daughter, Cathy Brown of Dayton; sisters, Phyllis Brady of Medway and Jacqueline Smart of Dayton (Dale-Beloved Brother-In-Law); grandchildren, Scott Davis of Dayton , Thomas Statzer of VA, Ondria Statzer of KY, Ashlee Stockman of Dayton, Matthew Mullins of KY; step-grandchildren, Amanda Hoagland of Dayton, Christina Thokey of Dayton, Beth Gray of Columbus, Kenny & Xavier Cox of Middletown, Ryan & Randy Brown of Middletown; 7 great grandchildren, & numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Willowview Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dayton for their wonderful care of our loved one.
