Jane Muncy

The world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Jane Muncy on June 26, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. Jane was born on May 13, 1934 in Hyden, Kentucky to her loving parents Oakley and Sally Begley.

She attended Leslie County High School in Kentucky and led a fulfilling life as a Dietary Aid at Mary Breckinridge Hospital, where her dedication and kindness touched the hearts of many.

Outside of work, Jane found joy in various hobbies and interests. She delighted in watching daytime television shows such as Golden Girls, Price is Right, and Wheel of Fortune. Her creative flair shone through in her crocheting projects, especially when using shades of blue and pink. Thrift store shopping was another favorite pastime of hers, always on the lookout for unique finds. Jane's love for Bluegrass music was evident as she cherished tunes by Osborne Brothers and Ralph Stanley.

In the hearts of those who knew her, Jane will forever hold a cherished place. She is survived by her son, David Muncy; two sisters, Lillian Keen and Alice Evans; brother, Kenneth Young; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Jean Muncy.

Jane will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of kindness lives on in those she touched.
