Jane Jetters, God sent an army of angels to escort her to eternal peace, where love and joy reign supreme. She was still saying Let me finish this first. The ultimate superhero of maternal love, grandmotherly devotion, and friendship, saved the world one extraordinary act of kindness at a time, leaving behind a legacy that's basically a never-ending supply of inspiration, love, and hope - and also a whole lot of people wondering how she managed to be so awesome.
Born on November 7, 1931, Jane was like the human version of a warm hug, spreading joy, warmth, and positivity to all the lucky folks who knew her - and let's be real, who wouldn't want to know her? As a mom, she was the ultimate selfless, unwavering pillar of love for her Children, Betty, Doris, and Roger - think of her as the mom version of a superhero with a cape, but without the cape getting all tangled up in the washing machine. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were basically the luckiest kids ever, getting to experience her guidance, laughter, cherished memories, and a profound sense of belonging - and also getting to hear all the embarrassing stories about their parents. Every moment with them was like a big ol' testament to her unconditional love and dedication - and also a testament to her ability to make everyone feel like they were the favorite.
Jane's life was like a beautiful tapestry of kindness, compassion, and generosity, woven with a dash of adventure and community, inspiring countless lives - basically, she was the human version of a unicorn, but without the horn getting in the way. She welcomed everyone into her life with open arms, creating a sense of belonging for all, because who wouldn't want to be friends with this amazing human - and also because she was really good at making sure your clothes were clean and your belly was full. Jane's legacy will continue to inspire generations, reminding us of the transformative power of love, kindness, and generosity - and also reminding us to be more like Jane, but without the whole saving-the-world thing, because let's be real, that's a pretty high bar. Though she may be gone, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her loved ones, guiding them toward a brighter, more loving future - and also guiding them toward the kitchen, where all the good snacks are. Jane loved her a good donut with a hot cup of coffee.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Floyd Jetters; Her children Floyd Jr, Rick, David & Daughter Patti and her parents, Cheetwood and Emma Wheeler. Their absence is deeply felt, yet her spirit lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless family and friends who were touched by her grace.
The visitation for Jane will take place on February 26, 2025, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:30pm, both at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio - Jane will be laid to rest with Floyd at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, her love and legacy forever etched in our hearts - and also forever etched in the memories of all the people she made laugh, cry, and feel loved.
