Gill, Jane H., 82, formerly from Denville, NJ and Walton, NY, currently of Englewood, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
Jane was a retired Morris County Sheriff's Officer (NJ), and was an avid reader. She loved playing Jeopardy and challenging her brother-in-law with the final Jeopardy question, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. Jane loved to vacation, especially at the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she had a second home.
She was preceded by her parents, George and Mary Hemsworth, husband, John Gill, and sister and brother-in-law, Mary Charlotte and George Myett. Jane is survived by her children, Patricia (James) Hoyt, Kathryn (James) Clemons, George (Ingrid) Sanders, Jennifer (Peter) Glogolich, Jackie Gill ; 12 grandchildren, Michele (Mike), Kevin (Greta), Christopher (Regina), David, Jennifer (Thomas), Michael (Britany), Wendy (Jamie), Jessica (Jason), Butch (Melanie), Matt, Mindy and Mike Glogolich; 25.5 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd., where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420, in Jane's memory.
