Jane L. Forster-Burns

Janie L. Forster-Burns, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born on June 10, 1948 in Cookeville, Tennessee the daughter of Henry and Flora Forster.

Janie was a longtime resident of Kettering and a former employee of Sure Shots. Formerly of Fairborn, she is a 1966 graduate of Fairborn High School. She was known for always having a big smile on her face and was always willing to do what she could to make someone's day better. Janie valued her friendships and family more than anything. She was very active and loved to cook, garden, go to festivals and visit the beach.

Janie is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Burns; her mother and father, Henry and Flora Forster; and sister, H. Joan Forster.

She is survived by two sisters; Henrietta (Larry) Mantia and Sammie Beaver; daughter, Crystal Burns; three grandchildren, Seth, Havyn, and Kayne; and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind two loving nieces; a nephew; seven great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece and nephew.

She leaves behind many memories and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459. Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Joel Getts following the visitation. Jane will then be laid to rest in Washington Township Cemetery located at 68 Maple Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45459.
