Jane Bantz

Nora Jane Bantz, age 97 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was born December 7, 1920 in Logansport, IN to the late Samuel and Charlotte Gerrard.

Jane was kind and loving. She was independent, strong willed, loved nature and was a master gardener. She had an affinity for birds and especially cats. She was a long time member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Dayton. Jane was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville A. Mallory; second husband, Orville Bantz, siblings, Robert Gerrard, Betty Easterday and William Gerrard and aunt, Em Hildebrandt.

Jane will be missed by her loving son, Pat (Colleen) Mallory; grandchildren, Scott Mallory, Jess (Rachel) Mallory, Caitlin Arrasmith, Connor Mallory, Olivia Mallory, Seldon Mallory; great grandchildren, Ethan Mallory, Kate Mallory, Margot Mallory and Reece Mallory; step-children, Orville Bantz, Jr., Phillip Bantz, Marilyn Spitler and their children and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH.
