Jamisen Renee Hilvers Myers "Jamie", "JR", "Jazz", age 47 of Dayton, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at her home. She was born June 8, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of James C. Hilvers and Margaret (Peggy) Barnhart.
She is preceded in death by her beloved father, James Calvin Hilvers; her grandfather, Calvin Hilvers; Grandmother, Elizabeth Hilvers; Grandparents, Charles and Suzanne Brown; and
stepmom, Linda Carlton.
Jamisen is survived by her mother, Peggy Barnhart (Ernie Barnhart); two children, Monique Cooper and Jaymes Hilvers; brother James N. Hilvers (Jackie Newman); niece Claire; nephew Levi; fur-baby Matteo; two grand-fur-babies ChiChi and Athena; several stepsiblings and their families. She will be missed by numerous members of the Brown, Hilvers, Barnhart, & Cooper Families. And her many friends throughout the years, including her good friends Bill and Dirk.
In recent years she became a deeply Christian person and a true believer in the Bible. She could always be found listening to and sharing various podcasts and videos she found interesting and educational. She had a kind heart and found joy in helping people.
Jamisen periodically worked with her father & brother in the family Water Heater and Heating/AC Business and she was hands on with auto mechanics, construction work, and fixing almost anything that needed repair. She served in the Army in an Underwater Demolition Program but was Medically discharged due to a hip injury that affected her throughout her life. Later in her life she did acquire training to be an Underwater Diving Instructor. She often said that she found the most peace when she was down for a dive in the ocean. Most recently she was very proud and excited by her work in Security Services. She also took pride in assisting in "Search and Rescue" Teams, and The Convention of States.
Jamisen was a creative person who enjoyed, crocheting, drawing, and crafting.
The most important thing to Jamisen was family. Despite her turbulent and challenging life, she never ceased cheering loudly in pride for her children and made it a priority to help her family whenever she could. She is well loved and will be deeply missed.
