James D. Wright Jr., of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on April 1, 1932, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, James lived a life marked by dedication, love, and hard work.
James's professional life was a testament to his strong work ethic; he devoted over 45 years of service at Howard Paper in Dayton. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he prided himself on being industrious and never idle. This dedication not only contributed to his success but also set an inspiring example for those around him.
He was a wonderful husband to his beloved wife, Lillie Wright, with whom he shared 55 joyful years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family that included their twin daughter, Katherine Green, and a cherished group of grandchildren: Erin Cortez, David Rutt, Melissa Johnson, Loren Crutchfield, Stacy Humphreys, James Rose, and Randy Rose.
He is remembered fondly by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. James was predeceased by his parents, Mary Thornsburg and James D. Wright Sr., as well as his numerous siblings, his twin daughter Bonnie L. Thompson, step-daughter Pamela Ray, step-son, Timothy Dale and his grandson Roger L. Phillips.
James D. Wright Jr. leaves behind a legacy built on love, diligence, and the importance he placed on family and work. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
