KRUETZMAN, James William, age 82, of Dayton, passed away at home with his family at his side on Thursday, March 27, 2008. He was born June 8, 1925 in Covington, KY, the son of the late Theodore J. and Amelia (Kercher) Kruetzman. James was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army, was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 9927 in Kettering and retired from McCall's after 36 years as a job setter in the mailing room. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Clara (Gray) Kruetzman; his two children, Sharon (Rick) Riggs and Paul D. Kruetzman; step-children, Deborah, Terry, Frank, and Lea; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Morris and Kathy (Walter) Plessenthal. He was preceded in death by one son, James William Kruetzman, Jr.; one brother, Ted Kruetzman; one grandson, Christopher A. Hopkins. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with visitation 2 hours prior to time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
