James R. Wheeler

James Richard Wheeler, age 70, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, after a short fight with cancer. Jim was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was proud to be a U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clifford (Jim) and Doris Wheeler, he is survived by his loving wife, Diane Wheeler; one brother, Ronald L. Wheeler (Cynthia); 3 daughters, Michelle Taylor (Terry), Kimberly Gregorace (Tony), and Coledo Maines (Elliott); stepson Derrick Bach; stepdaughters Amber Sea and Tonya Gilbert; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and Jim's beloved dog, Rusty.

Funeral services will be on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Visitation will go from 10am-11am, with graveside services immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
