James D. Weidel, age 90 of Laura, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1928 in Drexel, Ohio, the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Weidel.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Emerson Glaser; as well as 8 brothers.
James is survived by his sons, Jerry (Pam) Weidel, Michael (Kathy) Weidel, Garold Weidel; grandchildren, Shawn (Nikki), Andrew (Lacie), Sandra (Matthew), Jerry II (Bobbie), Kristy, Nick, Emily, Steven; great grandchildren, Deagan, Rylan, Harrison, Kyler, Casie, Tyler, Tiarra, Kylie Lainey and Harla; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
James is a veteran of both the United States Navy, where he served during WWII and also the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War.
