James L. Walker Iii

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James L. Walker III, who passed away on March 12, 2023, at the age of 71.

James proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years, retiring as Master Sergeant. He had a second career as a driver for FedEx Office, where he retired after 25 years. He was a private and reserved person who was known for his friendly, outgoing, and welcoming spirit.

James is survived by his daughters, Sebrina and Pamela Walker, his former wife and friend, Lisa Hofmann, his brother, Robert Walker, grandchildren Brandon, Kaitlyn, and Alexis Walker, and Jessica Marino, and great-grandchild Kaiden Joseph. In addition to his immediate family, James leaves behind his cousin, Terrlyn McClammy, and his longtime best friend, Robert "Mac" McCraw.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Walker, his son, James Walker IV, and his sister, Janice Walker. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and cherished him.

James will be remembered at a private family service, with a public service to follow at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
