James W. Phillippi

James Wendell Phillippi went home to be with his Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013 in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born on March 27, 1938 to the late Charles T. and Celestia (Girdler) Phillippi.
He graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in Dayton, Ohio and retired from Carbide Probes, Inc., in Beavercreek, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Bertie Grose and Betty Blevins.
He is survived by his brother John Thomas Phillippi; his wife of 50 years Jeannie Phillippi; a daughter, Tina and Jeff Chevalier from Columbia, TN; and a son, Tyrone and Stephanie Phillippi from Springboro, OH. He has 5 grandchildren, Justin & Jared Chevalier, Evan, Morgan, & Colton Phillippi. He was a very active and devoted member of the Grace Baptist Church in Kettering, Ohio.
Visitation will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio on Sunday, November 3rd, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4th at 12:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church at 2901 Galewood Street in Kettering, Ohio.
In lieu of plants/flowers, the family asks that you please send donations to Grace Baptist Church, 2901 Galewood Street, Kettering, OH 45420.
Interment in Dayton National Cemetery.
