James W. "Jimbo" Miller
Age 64, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James W. & Geneva L. (Hyder) Miller; one sister, Shirley Ann Morehead; and by his father-in-law, Carl Hargis.
Jim is survived by his wife of the past 39 years, Debra E. (Hargis) Miller; two children, Nikki Miller and Jeff Miller; one granddaughter, Zoe Harville; mother-in-law, Louise Hargis; in-laws, Carol & Rick Cross, Paula & Mike Kyle, Pete Hargis, Kenny Morehead; nephew & nieces, Alan, Kristi, Kim and Karla Jo; his dog, Daisy; his kitty, Stella; and by extended family & many good friends.
During the Vietnam War Jim served in the U. S. Army. He retired from WPAFB in 2000. Jim was also a member of the Minerva Lodge # 98 F&AM, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; the Antioch Shrine; a life-member of West Carrollton VFW Post 3438; life-member of the DAV Chapter 9 Dayton; Miamisburg American Legion Post 0165; Miamisburg Moose Lodge1645; and he was a Kentucky Colonel.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Cypher officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
