James W. Gray, 72, of New Carlisle, passed away January 6, 2016. James was born in Glo, Kentucky on January 19, 1943 to the late John and Eula Gray. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, horseshoes, gardening and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his wife of 17 years, Susan Gray; son, Tony Gray; daughter, Julie (Steve) Black; grandchildren, Zach, Jamie, Logan, Corey, Destiny; great grandchildren, Laynie, Alliyah, Addilynn, Lylah, Lillian, Riley; brother, John (Ramona) Gray; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Moey Gray; sister, Carol Sanders; and grandchild, AJ Gray.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where funeral services will follow on Tuesday, January 12 at 10:30 am. Burial will be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
