James R. Van Dyke, age 63 of Vandalia, passed away January 10, 2013. He was born March 20, 1949 in Memphis, TN to the late Flavous and Elna Van Dyke. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his step-son, Gerald Freeman, Jr.
Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley Van Dyke; daughter and son-in-law: Annie and Rick Spitzer; grandchildren: Christopher and Elizabeth Freeman; sister and brother-in-law: Sue and Tom Rogers; niece, Mary Beth Rogers; and nephew, Jimmy Rogers.
Jim retired from Bonbright Distributors after more than 35 years of service and was a member of Stillwater United Methodist Church.
