UNDERWOOD, James, age 82, of Riverside, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 17, 2015.
Jim was a loving husband, caring father, devoted grandfather, and loyal friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lester Underwood; sister, Betty Karnes; granddaughter, Jessica Piper; in-laws, Bonnie and George, Paul, Evelyn and Jack, Tommy and Jenny, and nephew, Tommy Derringer.
James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia "Pat" Underwood; daughters, Wanda Piper and Vickie Fallen; grandchildren, Emily Piper and her family, Matthew and Peyton, Shane Fallen, Donnie Piper and his family, Ashley, J. P., Amy, and Sophia, Jamie Rehmert and her husband, Chad and Jim's great granddaughter, Sadie James; siblings, Nancy (Norman), Paul (Rose), Byde, Louie (Cindy), and Ronnie (Olivia); in-laws, Verna, Tom and Reda, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:30 pm on Friday, August 21, 2015 with a service following at 3:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or a charity of your choice.
