James Thomas Turpin

January 15, 1946 — December 14, 2021

James Thomas "Jim" Turpin, age 75 of West Carrollton, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born on January 15, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Thomas and Pearl Turpin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son James "Jamie" Turpin and brother Charles Turpin.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, April Turpin and three siblings, Jack (Linda) Turpin, Sandy Winter, and Art Turpin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jim received his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and completed his Master's degree at Western Kentucky University. He was brilliant and enjoyed teaching at Wright State University then he later retired from Xavier University. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and travel with his wife. The most important thing to Jim was his family. He is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral or memorial service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial.
