SOLENBERGER, James "Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, Cheeseburger", aged 86, born in Springfield, Ohio and residing in Fairborn, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29th, 2014 with hospice by his side.
Jim was a veteran of the Army and served in WWI as an airplane mechanic. He was also a retired truck driver of over 30 years of dedicated service. He was an amateur photographer and enjoyed collecting stamps, maps, and anything airplane related. He also volunteered and later was employed by the United States Air Force Museum. He will be missed dearly by his family.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; father, Albert; his wife of 60 years, Jean Solenberger; his 4 siblings, Albert Jr., John, Dorothy, and Yvonne Solenberger, and his son, Kelly Solenberger.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Raleigh; son, Jamie Solenberger; son and daughter-in-law, Joey & Vera Solenberger; grandchildren, Chester Raleigh and wife, Stacy Raleigh, James Solenberger, Lindsey Solenberger, and Christina Solenberger, and great-grandchildren, Danielle, Madisyn, Ryan, and Evan.
A small graveside service will be held at Byron Cemetery on Monday, October 20th, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Miami Valley.
