James R. Smith Jr., age 56 of Dayton, OH passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born March 18, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to James R. Sr. and Patricia (Zwiesler) Smith.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. His life was fulfilled by enjoying the little things like his outdoor adventures and riding bikes. Jim created strong bonds with his family and friends and truly loved life to the fullest. His dogs were like his children and he shared the love for them with his significant other Lisa. Jim enjoyed time with his family such as camping, bike rides with joke telling at every stop, and with Jim, there was never a dull moment. In remembering Jim, say a toast and raise your glass in his honor and memory. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his Mom, Pat; two sisters, Cindy (Brad) Czupryn and Debbie Porter; his significant other, Lisa Angle; two nieces, Jessie Porter and Emily O'Hearn; three nephews, Joe and Michael Czupryn and Josh Porter; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will take place after the funeral at Bellbrook Cemetery, Bellbrook, OH.
