James E. Smith

James Smith, 89, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away at Kettering Medical Center on December 9th, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 69 years; their four children, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

James had a very special bond with his grandchildren, who knew him as "Papaw." James really enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, fishing, boating, and bicycling. He loved to travel. He had a great sense of humour and his company was enjoyed by all. James was known for his generosity and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.
