James "Jim" Sauer, age 68 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born October 20, 1952 in Kettering, Ohio the son of the late James Robert and Virginia Sauer.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Diana; children, Suzette (Darin Kaylor) Estep, Jennifer (David) Boyle, Steven (Michelle) Walls Jr. and Crystal (Jeromy) Hering; grandchildren, Zachary, Brittney, Jasmine, Kayla, Justin, Anthony, Tristen, Jacob, Adam, Ashley and Bentley; great grandchildren, Catalina, Kash, Carson and Tony; siblings, Kathleen Hepner, Cindy Dixon and Mike Sauer; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jim was long-time cook at Mama DiSalvo's and retired from Bethany Lutheran Village. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Jim loved spending time with his family and was a deeply faithful follower of Christ. He was extremely proud of all of his children and grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where his funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
