ROBERTS, James S., age 96 of Germantown. passed away Thursday June 23, 2016. He was born June 22, 1920, to the late William T. & Maude L. Roberts.
He was a US Marine Corp. WWII Vet that served in Okinawa. He loved wood working and farming.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley J. Roberts and daughter Carolyn S. Downs.
He was the oldest boy of 15 children and is survived by is sister Wanda Hines; brother Jack Roberts; son James T (Polly) Roberts, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and special friend Alva Tackett.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Pristine Senior Living and Hospice.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday June 30, 2016 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice.
