James Robert Miller

James Robert Miller, Sr., age 82 of Riverside, passed away September 8, 2013 at the Heartland of Beavercreek. He was born July 28, 1931 in Greenville, OH to the late Robert A. and Marie Miller. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Carey Richard Miller.

James is survived by his wife, Sondra (Harris) Miller; children: Debbie Miller (Mike Mashak), Diana Rothen (Al), James R. Miller, Jr. (Sissy Smallwood) and Donna Reiplinger (Mark); grandchildren: Bradley Miller (Felicia), Bryce Miller, Belinda Miller, Lisa Bilbrey, Kristina Bilbrey, Curtis Bilbrey, Nathan and Autumn Smallwood, Shawn and Nicole Gosnell; great grandchildren: Sondra and Ava Miller and one on the way; brother, Keith Ronald Miller (Betty); sisters: Helen Maxine Martin, Janice Wolf and Roberta Rogers; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1986; was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 657; and enjoyed working on race cars. More than anything, James enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
