James Ray Bray, age 74, of Trotwood, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
James was born in Sidney, Ohio on December 15, 1946 to the late Robert & Sylvia C. (Bedford) Bray.
In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by his son, Dustin Bray.
James is survived by his loving wife, Hadassah Bray; son, Kyle Bray; uncle, Robert (Linda) Bedford; step-children, Dannetta Ivery, Anthony Ivery, Lee Stewart and Yvonne Lynn; granddaughter, Paige Bray; grandson, James Logan Bray; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Linda (Ernest) Dubois; and nephews, Lee (Diane) Dubois and Elton Dubois, and numerous extended relatives and friends.
At the age of 17, James accepted Jesus as his Savior. He rededicated his life to God in September of 2017. James graduated from Fairlawn High in 1965 and went to St. Louis, MO to study diesel mechanics. He entered the US Navy in June of 1966 and served 2 years in the Construction Battalion AKA "Sea Bees". James received three medals of service for his honorable service for his county and was discharged. He was employed with the City of Sidney for awhile, later he became employed with Stalle Machinery Company until his retirement. James was the owner of a tax service in Sidney, Ohio for many years. He was an absolute genius in finance, gardening, and so many other things. The knowledge and kindness displayed in his personality will be greatly missed.
James will be laid to rest at a later date at the Dayton National Cemetery.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
