James Muntz, loving and dedicated husband, father, son and brother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born on November 26, 1960 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He was married to the love of his life, Debbie, for 25 years, while raising three beautiful, caring and compassionate daughters Kylie, Kassidy and Kloe.
James was a long time member of First Christian Church of Huber Heights, Ohio. He graduated from Wayne High School, going on to graduate from Wright State University with a degree in education. He returned to Huber Heights Schools where he taught and coached for nearly 30 years. He inspired many young people during his years as a teacher and as a coach of football, soccer and most notably basketball for Wayne High School, Dayton Vipers, Dayton Metro and Spirit teams.
He was preceded in death by his father James H. Muntz and Sister Kathleen Morgan. He is survived by his wife Debbie Muntz and three daughters Kylie, Kassidy and Kloe Muntz, his mother Doris B. Muntz, his brothers Dave (Pat) of Austin, Texas; Harlan (Faye) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Tom (Carrie) of Shingle Springs, California; Rus (Andie) of Huber Heights, Ohio; his sister Gina Nelson (Mel) of Decatur, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held promptly at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 6 at Wayne High School, 5400 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, Ohio in the old gymnasium. The doors will open to family and friends at 12:00 noon. Pastors David McClary and Kenneth Rebok will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the James Muntz Memorial Fund at 5/3 Bank in honor of his memory.
