James R. Koontz

KOONTZ, James R., age 74, of Fletcher, OH, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born November 28, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a dedicated employee for Harold J. Becker Company, Inc. since 1951 and was still employed to this day. He is survived by his children, Mike (Bronna) Koontz, Gloria (Mike) Barrett, and Sandy Koontz; four grandchildren, Michelle, Mikie (Veronica), Matthew, and Amber; four great-grandchildren, Chris "Bubba", Danielle, James, and Mikenzie; one sister, Joyce (Clarence) Atkinson; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jo Koontz; mother, Rose Mae Flack and step-father, Merl Flack. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) where funeral services will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
