James R. "Hot Wheel Jim" Fyffe, age 88 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was born November 7, 1925 in Crockett, KY to the late Isaac and Beula Fyffe. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Vernie Fyffe; daughter, Patricia Rickert.
He is survived by her daughters, Jean (Jerry) Lankford and Connie Rathburn; grandchildren, Tammy (Patrick) Estepp, Paula (Keith) McQuate, Mark (Julie) Rickert, Sandra (Andy Estepp) Rathburn, Christopher (Elizabeth) Rathburn, Joshua (Danyelle) Lankford; great-grandchildren, P.J., Jessica, Jace, Benji, Leigh Anne, Matthew, Noah, Logan, Emily, Gabby, Trevor "Travis", Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Hailey and Loree; 2 great great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 brothers and numerous extended family and friends.
James served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked and retired from General Motors and started his own Hot Wheel Shop at the flea market. This is how he became known as "Hot Wheel Jim". He was a faithful member of Faith Hill Baptist Church.
