James R. Dias

James R. Dias, 84, of Kettering, OH passed away Sunday December 4, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Adabelle Dias; son, James "JD" Dias; and first wife, Evelyn Dias. Survivors include his wife, Connie Dias; daughter, Lynn (Scott) Sammons; son, David Dias; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Marietta Boehm and Virginia Leathley; close nephews, Samuel (Mary) and Mark (Wendy) Leathley as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Jim was a Eucharistic Minister and Mass Coordinator at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #4022, a US Army veteran of WWII, and a recent inductee into the Kiser High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was co-owner of D&L Tile Company for 20 years and a salesman for American Modular and Ryan Homes for over 20 years.

Visitation is Thursday December 8, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Beavercreek Chapel), Beavercreek, OH.

Funeral Mass is Friday December 9, 2011 at 10am at the St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Kettering, OH.

Interment is in Calvary Cemetery.
