James R. Blatz, Jr.

BLATZ, James R. Jr., age 63, of Michigan and formerly of Beavercreek, OH, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008. He was born March 19, 1944 in Dayton, OH. He retired in 1999 from Delco Moraine after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Corene (Jones) Blatz, Sr. and his beloved pet, Burton. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda (Preston) Blatz; children, Julie Blatz of Dayton, Greg (Sherri) Blatz of Dayton, and Tim Blatz (fiance, Abby Maiorano) of Englewood; brother-in-law, Dale (Betty) Preston of Lebanon, OH; special cousin, Pete Logel; special friend, James Frazier; numerous other cousins and friends. A graveside service for family and friends will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens (170 Valley Rd., Xenia, OH, 45385). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital at Ohio State University Medical Center or Unverferth House, 190 Kings Ave., Columbus, OH, 43201.
