James Poffenberger

POFFENBERGER, James "Jim", age 79, of Fairborn, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Monday, July 23, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Amber Poffenberger and his first wife, Cora Poffenberger. Jim is survived by his wife, Doris Poffenberger; daughter, Debbie Poffenberger; step-daughters, Cathy Hochwalt, Karen Hochwalt, and Pam (Scott) Matheney; step-son, Joe Hochwalt; grandchildren, Jessi Wood, Nicole Hochwalt, and Allen Hochwalt. Jim attended Wilbur Wright High School and the University of Dayton. He retired from Civil Service at WPAFB in 1990. Family will receive friends from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, in Jim's memory.
