James David Phipps

James David Phipps, age 69, of Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2022. He was born in Dayton on April 13, 1953 to the late Eulis and Alma Phipps. He was one of six children, including: Richard Phipps, Mike Phipps, Keith Phipps, Barb Phipps Tyzzer, and Gail Phipps Fields. James was a graduate of Northridge High School. Following that, James worked for Yoder Industries where he retired after 43 years.

James is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 46 years, Darlene Phipps, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

James enjoyed playing the guitar and loved to sing gospel music. His favorite verse of the bible was Matthew 19:26-- With God, all things are possible. All those who were blessed to know him will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A funeral service will follow at 10:30am. James will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
