O'ROARK, James R. "Dick," age 91, of Moraine passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Blanche; sister, Hilda Fullerton; and former wife, C. Drusyla O'Roark. He is survived by Elizabeth "Betty", his wife of 28 years; daughters, Karen (O'Roark) Weghorst, of Kettering, and Shannon L. O'Roark Griffin, of Colorado Springs; grandsons, Chance Paladin O'Roark Griffin, and Bryce Richard O'Roark Griffin; three step-children; 8 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Covington High School, and Ohio State University, served as a celestrial navigator in the US Army Air Corps, 15th AF, 483rd Bombardment Group, 816th Squadron, where he flew 17 successful B-17 missions overseas during WWII. He was an active member of Moraine Heights Baptist Church. He was retired from Proctor & Gamble, where he served as Vice-President of Research and Development at Hewitt Soap Co. Visitation will be held 6-9PM Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Moraine Heights Baptist Church, on Munger Rd. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday at the church with Dr. Terrell Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Boston, IN.
