Age 75, of Riverside, passed away, Monday, January 18, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents James O. Ellis, Sr., & Eleanor Ellis; his wife of 52 years, Bobbie Ellis; & brother & sister-in-law Jerry & Pat Ellis.
Jim retired after 35 years at the Inland-Home Ave. He was an avid golfer & was a catcher for many years in Dayton-area fast pitch softball leagues. In 1976, Jim was inducted into the Dayton Area Softball Hall of Fame.
Jim is survived by his son & daughter-in-law James & Barbara Ellis; granddaughters Jennifer & husband Michael Flaim & Jacquelyn Ellis & fiancé Zach Hyden; great-granddaughter Brenna Flaim; sister & brother-in-law Marilyn & Everett Null.
Visitation will be held, 5-8pm, Thurs. Jan. 21 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME., 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton where services will be held 11AM on Fri. Jan. 22. Burial at Medway Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
