James Patrick Morrissey, age 83 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at home. He was born August 3, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio the son of James Morrissey and Sophie French nee Lipinsky.
Jim will be remembered for his love of family; No matter where he was, he was perfectly content as long as he was surrounded by family. In his younger days, he loved horse back riding, camping and spending time outside. He worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years and enjoyed playing Santa Claus while there. Jim was a kind and caring man who would give to anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jim is survived by his children, Cynthia (Craig) King, Deborah (Brian) Scharff, Cheryl Montgomery, Michael (Angie) Morrissey, James Morrissey & Joseph (Lori) Morrissey; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; mother of his children, Nancy Patterson and many other loving family members and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Jim's honor.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately with immediate family.
