James Dayton Meadows, "Jim," age 85 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 3, 1935 in Beckley, West Virginia.
Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn; sons, Steve Meadows and David Meadows (Jene Shaw); brother, Donald Meadows; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends; as well as family friends and caregivers, Michel Ewing and Chuck Franz.
Jim graduated from Marshall University with a Master's in English. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Professor Emeritus from the Air Force Institute of Technology after 40 years of service. Jim was an Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church and heavily involved in the Men's Group and the BFG's.
At Jim's request, there will be no Memorial Service. Private Graveside Service to be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
