James Martin

MARTIN, James R., age 62, of Kettering, passed away Mon., Aug. 8, 2005 at Kettering Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents George & Wilma Martin. Jim is survived by his wife Karen; 1 son James R. Martin, Jr. & wife Leda of Waynesville; 2 daughters Gina Breda & husband Christopher of Cincinnati and Jennifer Sechrist & husband John of Oakwood; 3 step-children Joseph Hutchison and Robert and Erica Renner; 2 brothers George and Terrance Martin; 2 sisters Mary Fletcher and Pamela Snell and 8 grandchildren Rhiannon, Bridget, Caroline, Joshua, Meredith, William, Quinn and Catherine. He is also survived by many beloved friends and extended family in Dayton, Waynesville and Cincinnati. The family wishes to thank the staff of Kettering Medical Center and Bellbrook Rehabilitation Center for their care and kindness. Jim retired from Ashton Medical Products and had graduated from Purcell H.S., Cincinnati, and Xavier University. Funeral services 1 P.M., Fri., Aug. 12, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Rev. Fr. Daniel Meyer officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. or the Kettering Hospital Foundation in Jim's memory.
