James Marion Wooten

James Marion Wooten, 66, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 11, 1948, in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late John Love and Mattie Wooten. James attended Dayton Public Schools.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his two brothers and one sister.

James is survived by his Wife, Bessie Mae (Spears) Wooten; children, Gwendolyn and Tina Wooten; step-children, Wade and Marcus Spears, one devoted step-daughter, Keisha Spears; 1 devoted grandson, Ryan Moore; step-grandsons, Emanuel Spears and Rashawn Arnold; 3 brothers, Jerome Ryan, Chris and Curtis Wooten; devoted aunt, Lucille Wooten; aunt Betty Martin; special mother-in-law, Elnora Walker; 8 brothers-in-law; 1 special brother-in-law, Donald Walker; 3 sisters-in-law; 2 very special cousins, Arnold Martin and Larry Wynn; special friend, Robert Wilson; special thanks to Tina Patel, Hospice of Dayton and also Dr. Manisha Nanda.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton), where his Funeral Ceremony will begin at 10 am Thursday.
