James M. Russell

Russell, James M., age 67, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Grandview Hospital. He was born May 2, 1942 in Mascot, TN. James loved to fish and also attend family gatherings. He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Russell; aunt, Naomi Monday; and his cousin, David Monday. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Dorothy A. Russell; children, James Sparks, Richard (Rita) Sparks, Diana (Steve) Harmeling, Barb (Bill) Turner, Donna (Tony) Russell, and Estelle Russell; grandchildren, Gene, Kyle, Melissa, David, Billy, Michael, Chris,Victor, Jamie, Athena, and Tabitha; great grandchildren, Damian, Darren, Kierra, and Drake; and longtime friend, Ernie Garner. The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 5-7 PM. Private burial will be held in Tennessee. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
