James H. Lykins

James H. Lykins, age 74, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1947, to the late John and Maxie Lykins.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, James H. Lykins II and brothers: Robert Lykins, Jerry Lykins and Paul Lykins.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years, Darlene Lykins; children: Tabatha Demorest and Scott (Amanda) Lykins; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lykins; grandchildren: Kayla (Brad) Harrison, Allison (Addam) Moore, Searra Demorest, Matthew Brown, Jason Brown and Xander Lykins; great-grandchildren: Sadie and Bowen Harrison, Serenity and Iris Moore, Matilyn, Emily and Collin Brown; sister, Helen Androne; brothers: Donald (Linda) Lykins and Benjamin (Rosemary) Lykins; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard where he retired after 28 years of service. He was an employee at General Motors and retired after 30 years of service.

A visitation will be held on Monday April 11, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Jim will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
