Long, James H., 88, of Miami Twp., passed away January 31, 2018 at Woodlands of Middletown.
He was born March 17, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Hugh and Edith (Hempenstahl) Long. He retired from Consolidated Freightways after 30 years of service.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Fraley) Long, and his daughter, Susan Ann Long. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Skeeter) Young; son, Jimmy (Nancy) Long; grandsons, Matthew and Brandon Young; granddaughter, Jodi Long; great-grandsons, Aiden Young, Cole Capone; sister, Janet Friend, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 6:00pm on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Newcomer, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. where funeral service will follow at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.curechildhoodcancer.org in honor of James' great-grandson, Aiden.
