JAMES Lewis Fisher, age 84 of Dayton, passed away peacefully August 26, 2013 and went Home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He was born in Lancaster, OH to the late Gretchen and Charles Fisher.
James is survived by his loving daughters, Michaelle Fisher and Monica Fisher; siblings, David (Joan) Fisher, M. Julene (John) Boggs, John (Roberta) Fisher, Joseph C. (Robin) Fisher, and Jodelle (Lee) Dunn; grandchildren, Matthew J. (Ashley) Stuart, Jr. and Tiffany Stuart; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Rose Harris; very special and amazing friend, Alene Edwards; Little Brother, Charlie Moore; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
James proudly served the United States in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service he continued his work as a loyal and dedicated employee at General Motors, where he retired after 40 years of service.
He was a member of Northridge Wesleyan Church and was an active attendee of the Harrison Township and Vandalia Senior Centers. James graduated from Northridge High School in 1946 and has continued to be involved in the 50 year class reunion club. He was a licensed pilot and had a passion for flying and traveling.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff, nurses and caregivers at Hospice of Dayton and Stone Springs for all their love, care, and compassion.
