James T. "Jim" Lee, age 83 of Enon, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Maria Joseph Living Care Center. He was born April 28, 1938 in Sidney, Australia to James and Helen (Ellery) Lee. He married Virginia Zwick in May of 1981 in Kettering, OH.
Jim briefly served in the United States Navy and then the United States Air Force for six years, and retired from General Motors as a Machine Setter. He enjoyed spending time with family, had a love of nature and spent most of his life raising and successfully racing homing pigeons. His love of pigeons began in his childhood in Australia.
Surviving Jim is his wife Virginia and step children, Jeannie L. Randall, Joan (Don) Bowling, Ann (Joe) Piselli, Michael Randall and Catherine Randall; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Deborah Lee.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Memorial Service will follow the Gathering at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest with full military honors on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 31 W Whipp Rd, Dayton, OH 45459.
