KING, James "Jim", 97, of Dayton, went to be with, Jesus, his Lord and Savior and his Heavenly Father on January 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 2, 1916, in Glencraig, Scotland, the son of the late James and Janet (Riley) King. He graduated from Horace Mann High School and from Bowling Green Business College. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Core during WWII. He owned and operated Buckeye Sales in Fairborn for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Wayne; daughter, Karen Heller (Bob) of Cedarville; granddaughters, April Ratliff (Tim), Lori Myers (Rusty); four great grandchildren, Jared Ratliff, Hunter Ratliff, Noah Myers, and Taylor Myers, all of Cedarville.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Patterson Park Church, 3655 E. Patterson Road, Beavercreek, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
