James K. Shepard, age 77, of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born July 23, 1937 in Liberty, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy; two daughters, Shelly (Ron) Skees and Charnell Posey; two sons, Kent Shepard and Kelly (Naomi) Shepard; two sisters, Melva (Jim) Brown and Nancy (Gary) Via; 8 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 (costumes ok!) at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or The Dayton VA Hospice and Palliative Care.
