James "Jim"A. Thompson

James "Jim" A. Thompson, age 76 of Riverside, Ohio passed away on February 9, 2022. He was born January 12, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Annamary Thompson.

Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church for 40 years with his wife Jeanie. Jim would often volunteer with several festivals with the church over time. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Jim is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Ron and Bob Thompson.

Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juanita "Jeanie" Thompson; son, Joe Thompson; brother, Bill Thompson; nephew, Dane Thompson; numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton- Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will begin at 11am with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jim's honor to the American Cancer Association.
