James M. Huff was born on March 26, 1959. He passed away on February 6, 2023.
James M. "Jim" Huff, proud son of a Central California peach farmer. Jim retired as Senior Master Sgt., where he began his military career with the U.S. Air Force on October 9, 1979. He retired on April 3, 2010. There he discovered a passion for aircraft fabrication which led to an opportunity after his military retirement to contract with Wright Patterson Air Force Base, conducting research and developing designs for future air craft and space craft.
Jim was a lifelong learner, he held a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and taught Aircraft Engineering at the University of Dayton.
Jim was 63 years old, born in Merced, CA on March 26, 1959. He met and married the love of his life, Jean (Aki) while stationed at Castle Air Force Base in 1987.
Following his work with Wright Patterson AFB, Jim began working at CDO Technologies and had planned to officially retire on February 28, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D.C. Huff; mother, Joyce M. Huff; and brother Dale F. Huff. He is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Timothy; sisters, Diana Michaels, Gloria Van Guilder and Kathy Gularte. Known as "Uncle Jimmy", he will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
