James Houston, Jr. of Dayton, OH went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2015.
He leaves to mourn his passing: son, Devin Beach; parents: James, Sr. and Bertha Houston; 5 sisters: Fonsa Alexander, Joanne Monie, Virginia Houston, Cynthia Houston (Kelvin Lowe) and Kim Harris; brother, Jamie Render all of Dayton, OH; companion, Patricia Spears; special friends: Nate Selmon, Gordon Copeland, Otis Branham; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 502 Pontiac Street, Dayton, OH, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 11 am - 12 pm. Rev. Dr. Carlton Williams officiating. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James' memory to the ALS Foundation or to VITAS Hospice. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
