James Ervin Hicks, age 68 of Piqua, passed away May 10, 2020. Jim was born May 9, 1952 in Latham, Ohio to the late William and Glenna Hicks.
Jim is survived by his wife, Gina Hicks; children: Patrick Donnelly, Zachary Donnelly, Shon (Brian) Parke, Venus "Lori" (Jon) Werts, James "Billy" (Shelley) Necessary and Amber (Ed Hash) Hicks; grandchildren: Kristina (Doug) Seger, Justin Parke, Cheyenne Parke, Pami Hicks-Parke, Simon Hicks-Parke, Jonathon "L.J." Werts, Paul Michael Werts, Katie Werts and Angel Necessary; brothers and sisters: Frank, Sharon, David and "Baby Sister" Sandi; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed his life being a truck driver. Jim was a member of Sterling Shadow. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating and Pokemon hunting. Jim was a "cat" who had nine lives; he was always fighting through his health issues with a smile on his face. Jim was an animal lover who loved rescuing cats and dogs. He was always telling jokes to make people laugh.
Jim's wishes were to be cremated. His family will hold a gathering of family and friends from 1-3 pm on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Hollow Park, Piqua, Ohio.
